The Magic of Versatility. Inspired by the intersection of traditional craftsmanship and modern utility, the Gaya Men's Kimono embodies the spirit of a global nomad. This mid-length essential offers a dual-identity: tie it for a structured, Japanese-inspired silhouette during formal moments, or wear it untied and open for a casual, layered look. made from 100% Javanese Ikat cotton, it bridges the gap between ancient heritage and urban life.
Every length of this cloth spent close to two months on a hand loom in East Java, where the pattern was dyed into the yarn before weaving rather than printed on afterwards. It is the slowest way to make fabric, and the only way to get a pattern that cannot be repeated. It was then cut and hand-finished by a small family workshop in Bali.
This colourway is a deep black that carries the pattern without shouting about it.
